Construction of sewerage and wastewater treatment facilities in Atyrau is nearing completion. The use of concrete well rings helps ensure stable and trouble-free operation of the new sewerage system.
Unified Sewer Well System
The construction of the sewerage and wastewater treatment system is intended to address the issue of wastewater treatment in the left-bank area of Atyrau. Reliable operation of the sewerage facilities depends largely on a properly functioning network of wells.
As part of the project, developers moved away from traditional well rings made using brick or stone masonry. Concrete well rings from leading manufacturers are being used as an effective alternative.
Manufactured using vibrocompression technology, reinforced concrete well rings are easy to install and provide strength and reliability. The use of high-grade concrete gives the finished well rings increased resistance to various types of external impact.
Quality and safety standards require manufacturers to produce well ring components and covers from fine-grained, durable concrete. At the same time, affordable well ring prices make it possible to significantly reduce public construction costs.
To extend the service life of the products and ensure uniform distribution of loads, the concrete mixture is poured into reinforced wire forms. The minimum height and internal diameter of reinforced concrete well rings are 30 cm and 70 cm respectively.
The overall scale of the system is determined by three facilities:
- sewerage station;
- biological ponds and evaporation fields;
- wastewater treatment facilities.
The project capacity is 70,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day. Location: the southern and southeastern part of Atyrau. According to the project plan, construction was scheduled for completion in 2019.
